My name is John Mina, I'm the lead therapist and founder of JM Speech Therapy. We have been working and studying in this field for over 15 years with a variety of students that have struggled with areas of speech and language. We have seen the financial burden that continuous therapy can be for the parent(s) and/or guardian(s).  We have observed many children struggling to apply the skills learned in the therapy room to the real world.  What makes us different from traditional therapy services is our proactive approach to creating new techniques and protocols that have a real impact. Whether your child needs that extra boost to maintain those skills or develop a program with continuous practice to avoid losing what they have learned (regression), we are creating a shift in the therapy paradigm. In these last 5 years, we have been working with other experienced speech therapists developing new ways to identify a child's strengths and needs, how to use the child's strengths to build success, enhance independence and overall communication.  It's important to us for parents and their children to have meaningful and positive interactions. That is our main goal.  We will keep working towards giving every child the opportunity and ability to communicate and express their feelings, wants, and needs.
